A Cadillac Of A Transmission: The 5L50E

The 5L50E  is a five speed automatic transmission used in select Cadillac cars. It is a medium duty transmission (max torque of 300ft-lbs) for use in vehicles weighting up to 5000 lbs. Between 2004 and 2006 it was used in the following Cadillac models; XLR, STS and SRX. This transmission is very closely related to the 5L40E but is slightly stronger.
