Ideas For Getting The Word Out That You Sell Re-manufactured Transmissions

Posted by on Thursday, August 22nd, 2013

Everyone knows that a re-manufactured transmission is much better than a rebuilt one. A re-manufactured transmission includes major modifications and upgrades that make them both strong and more durable. All internal hard parts are re-machined back to factory perfect specs, or the parts are replaced with brand new ones. You won’t find any of these features in a rebuilt transmission.  The companies that re-manufacture automatic transmissions are so confident in the quality of parts they use and their craftsmanship that they offer an industry best three year warranty! Rebuilt transmissions on the other hand only offer an average 90 warranty. And get this – in the rare event that a re-manufactured transmission fails within the warranty period, they will cover the cost to R&R the transmission.

Good Information On The AB60E Automatic Transmission

Posted by on Tuesday, August 20th, 2013

The AB60E is a six speed automatic transmission made by Toyota.  It’s unique in that it has two overdrive gears and the lockup torque converter is applied in 4th, 5th and 6th gear. Most transmissions only apply the lockup torque converter in the final overdrive gear. Locking up the converter earlier allows for better gas mileage. The AB60E was used in the 2007 Tundra and 2008 Sequoia, both with the V8 engine. The AB60E is very similar to the AB60F, which is used for four wheel drive applications.
