Steps To Taking Proper Care Of The A999 Transmission In Your Jeep Wranger

Posted by on Tuesday, December 24th, 2013

The A999 is a three-speed automatic transmission designed and used in Jeep vehicles. It first went into production in 1987 and was eventually phased out of use in 2002. The odd thing about this transmission is that Jeep was still using a three-speed transmission well into the turn of the century, when almost every other automotive manufacture had switch over to transmissions equipped with at least one overdrive gear at least a decade or more earlier.

Let’s take a look at the steps to taking proper care of the A999 transmission in your Jeep Wrangler.
