\nWould it be any fun if you were constantly working with people who were exactly like you?\u00a0 Probably not.
\nIt is essential for a productive team to be made of multiple different parts that, when put together, function as one well oiled machine.\u00a0 Bonding as a team is something that is a continuous work in progress and that only time and effort from everyone involved will enable it to reach its highest point.\u00a0 The more bonded and connected a team, the greater chance that everyone will put forth 100% effort 100% of the time. No one really wants to be the one knucklehead who didn\u2019t follow through.
\nBut often times, finding an activity that an entire group will enjoy can seem damn near impossible. In the time I\u2019ve been at ETE, here are some of the things that we\u2019ve given a shot:
\n– Warriors that Sweat Together Don\u2019t Puke Together<\/strong>
\nSince the beginning of June, a group of us have been preparing 2 days a week to participate in the Warrior Dash next weekend. It takes a special breed of people that are willing to see each other prior to 6am without the proper cup of coffee.\u00a0 Add getting sweaty and being pushed past a level of comfort – while trying to have a smile on your face so your co-workers don\u2019t think you\u2019re dying \u2013 that\u2019s some bonding!
\n– Tactical Laser Tag, Round 2!<\/strong>
\nAfter a day of slingin\u2019 trans, we met after hours to sling some laser tag guns and try to take down the opposition.\u00a0 Split into two teams, each team was awarded 1 fresh newbie. I may have been one of the token newbie\u2019s \u2013 and I may have pulled through in the final 2 minutes to help us to victory when we were behind. But I couldn\u2019t have done it on my own, especially without trust and guidance.
\n– Kickball for Lunch<\/strong>
\nSummer didn\u2019t officially start in Milwaukee until this month, so we took advantage of it and had a \u201cfriendly\u201d little parking lot kickball game.\u00a0 Who was going to be the best kickballer out there and get office bragging rights? Not only did this little outing get us out of the office (and get our pasty white arms some sunlight), but it fueled the already-competitive fires that many of us have.
\n– A Baby Shower Potluck for a Future Transmission Ruler<\/strong>
\nThis may seem like the odd ball of the bunch, but it isn\u2019t a rarity here.\u00a0 Every other month, we pick a potluck day and try to see what different foods or themes we can come up with. This most recent potluck was to celebrate one of our employees embarking on a new journey with a little one \u2013 and it brought Sales, HR, Cores, Product Support, and even more departments together.
\nThese are just a few of the different and creative ways that we\u2019ve recently brought our diverse group together, but I bet that you have your own. So, how do you bond with your team?<\/p>\n
