Believe it or not, there are some people who don’t believe Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube are appropriate for business. Maybe that’s you, or someone you know. Maybe it’s your shop owner, maybe it’s a senior manager, or maybe it’s you.
\n\"SocialI thought it would be helpful to share with you 5 reasons YOUR shop needs to do social media. Please share this email with anyone who doubts they should be using social media for their business.
\n1) Your customers are already there<\/strong>, talking about you, and your competition
\n2) Your potential customers are already there<\/strong>, asking questions your business can answer.
\n3) Your employees are already talking about you, and (hopefully not) your customers<\/strong>, probably on company time, and you have no idea what they’re saying.
\n4) Your suppliers are using social media to test out ideas and do customer service<\/strong> –
\n5) You CAN <\/em>afford social media<\/strong> – The tools are free, and the only absolute cost for social media is time. That investment of time is for training your staff and for doing social media. Sure, you can spend money on a LOT of things in social media. Save your money on products and automation services, and put that into training your staff to learn the why AND the how of using social media the right way.<\/p>\n

Truth be told, your shop can’t afford not to do social media.<\/h3>\n

Within 12-18 months, all of your customers, suppliers, employees and potential customers, employees, and suppliers will expect you to be on social media, and they will expect you to be good at it. Why not start slowly now and develop better relationships with everyone now, while they’ll forgive you for not being great.
