\n2016 has come and gone. Was it an amazing year for you?
\nIf so, you probably achieved at least some of your objectives.\u00a0 If not, I\u2019m guessing you don\u2019t think it was a great year and you probably have a bunch of reasons (read: excuses)<\/em> for failing yourself.
\nThe start of this new year is the perfect time to take stock of the goals you had but haven\u2019t yet achieved or to set your sights higher.
\nI don\u2019t claim to be a poster boy for the perfect life, but I\u2019m happy about where I am \u2013 and I\u2019m really<\/em> excited about where I\u2019m going.
\nSo, what do you want to accomplish in the next 365+ days? And, how can I help? By sharing three things that are essential to making this your best year \u2013 in business and in life:<\/p>\n

1. Attitude
\nYou don\u2019t have to be chipper, but you do need to be optimistic and confident in yourself.\u00a0 Whatever you have your sights set on, know that you can get there.<\/h5>\n
2. Tools
\nThere are hundreds of methods for visioning, planning, and time management.\u00a0 From spreadsheets to hand scribbled notes kept in your wallet, there are a variety of ways to clarify, coordinate, and account for your ideals. Whether you know what you want or are just getting started with a plan, find tools that work to support you. Tweak it and make it your own.<\/h5>\n
3. Accountability
\nYou probably know someone who is good or even great at whatever you are struggling with. Share your plan and ask for help. When your goals aren\u2019t just in your own head, you build accountability and will be more likely to keep the\u00a0momentum going in your direction.<\/h5>\n

You don\u2019t need life coaches, experts, or even the Powerball jackpot to increase your happiness and success. You need a goal, a plan, and a few people in your corner who know you and will be honest with you.
\nLife is like a marathon. You can only reach the finish line if you chart and stay the course – and take one step at a time. Here\u2019s to us each taking a few steps together in 2017.
