I\u2019d like to find the creator of the piece below. I\u2019ve Googled every way I know how and I\u2019ve struck out time after time.<br \/>\nAfter a talk I delivered in Minneapolis last month, one of the audience members approached me and handed me a piece of paper. He simply said, \u201cA friend of mine gave me this and I thought you might like it.\u201d<br \/>\nThat\u2019s it. No attribution. No author listed. No idea where it came from.<br \/>\nThe reason I want to know who wrote it is that I like it. I don\u2019t agree with everything, but that\u2019s why I like it. Somebody was willing to commit &#8211; to create list of laws &#8211; and then share it. That takes guts.<br \/>\n<strong>And so I\u2019d like you to do three things after reading the list below:<\/strong><br \/>\n1.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Help me find the author.<br \/>\n2.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Decide whether you agree with the laws &#8211; and <a href=\"mailto:captain@etereman.com?subject=Feedback%20about%20the%20Laws%20of%20Performance\">send me<\/a> your thoughts.<br \/>\n3.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Consider your own philosophies. What do you believe so strongly that you\u2019d be willing to call a law?<br \/>\n<strong>The 8 Laws of Human Behavior<\/strong><br \/>\n1.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0People do things for their own reasons, not ours!<br \/>\n2.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0People do not change their minds; they make new decisions based on new information.<br \/>\n3.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0People make decisions based on emotion, justify with facts.<br \/>\n4.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0People want to be part of something larger than themselves.<br \/>\n5.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0People accept recognition, avoid accountability.<br \/>\n6.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0People want to be treated as unique or special.<br \/>\n7.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0People want to feel in control of their life.<br \/>\n8.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0People want to know why they should do something rather than how to do it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019m hoping you can help me.
