Forecasted Engine Growth Market Update

February 14, 2024 By Kelsey Scherf

Yep, you’ve heard it all before, like a broken record, the average age of vehicles on the road continues to grow. This is largely due to new car inventory and component shortages, as well as the continual growth in new vehicle pricing. That’s bad if you want to buy a new car, but it’s great if you’re in the vehicle repair business.

Your need for replacement engines, just like transmissions, will keep growing. The global engine market is currently at $105.86 billion with the U.S. representing 31% of that total. I’ll do the math for you, that’s $32.82 billion in 2023. With an expected growth of 2.89% per year, the U.S. engine market will exceed $42 billion by 2032. That’s a lot of engines.

In this space we most often talk about transmissions, but ETE is solidly in the remanufactured engine biz too. We carry 83 different engine types covering better than 41 million vehicles on the road. Our engine reman process and dyno performance testing is very similar to the process we use for our transmissions, so you know you can trust the result. And ETE reman engines, just like our reman transmissions, are covered by our industry-leading, 3-year, unlimited mile warranty. That’s what we call ENGINUITY!

Ladies and gentlemen, “Start Your Engines” here, at ETE Reman, your reman engines partner.
