Putting in a solid day’s work doesn’t mean spending 8 hours chained to your desk. In fact, it’s been shown that taking breaks throughout the day actually improves your productivity.
A break creates a natural point at which to refocus your energy. Getting ready to tackle a task that’s been on your To-Do list for a while? Take a break. Hitting a wall while brainstorming? Take a break. Thinking about flipping over your painfully slow computer and setting your desk on fire? Take a break.
Without further ado, here are 15 perfectly legitimate reasons to peel your crusty carcass away from your desk and go take a break.
