Twas A Few Nights Before Christmas

“It’s that time of year again,” I thought to myself, the tradition of holiday decorating once again upon us. As I pulled the Christmas decorations out for the holidays in place of my stepdad who recently has had some health trouble, I came across something special. At the bottom of one of the boxes of decorations, I found some holiday poems he had authored about our family.
Inspired and seeking to honor this tradition, I picked a familiar holiday cadence and decided to write a holiday poem about my new work family.
Seeing the results, I was encouraged and felt compelled to share some thoughts with you, our extended Reman U family.
- Reminders of the importance of tradition are all around during the holidays. Never take for granted the way things have been done.
- A valuable connection is not in just knowing someone, but in what you do for the people you know.
- As a business becomes more involved in the area where it is located, how successful it will be down the road changes.
- Don’t confuse yourself into thinking the world “owes you a favor” just because you have done something for them. Rather, think of it more along the lines of the favorable impression you can leave.
This holiday season, I’m challenging myself to be more involved with the people around me and take on a new activity or two. I’ll be keeping in mind how especially important it is to not let my current obligations, the ones I have made my involvement in a tradition, fall to the wayside. What ways do you have planned to grow personally and professionally in the next year? Share with me below. (And what about my poem? You can see it here.)

Don’t Get Sued!
